3M™ Durable Floor Marking Tape 971 is a 17 mil orange vinyl tape engineered for permanent floor marking in high-traffic industrial environments. Its rubber-based adhesive bonds firmly to concrete, sealed, tile, and painted floor surfaces, and the heavy-duty vinyl backing resists abrasion from forklifts, pallet jacks, and foot traffic without significant color fade or edge lift.
The tape's 250% elongation allows it to conform to minor surface irregularities, making it well suited for warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturing facilities, and food-processing plants where consistent, visible lane and zone demarcation is critical. Orange is a widely recognized color code for hazard zones, caution corridors, and traffic routing under OSHA and 5S organizational programs.
